Thomas E. Martin
Chairman of the Board
Tom Martin brought more than 30 years of financial and strategic management experience to Best Friends when he was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in May 1999.
Because of his extensive experience in the hospitality industry, he had been serving as a special consultant to the company's Board of Directors on a new capital plan to prepare the Company for its next stage of development just before taking on the leadership role for Best Friends.
Martin's prior hospitality industry experience includes serving as President and CEO of Elsinore Corporation, a publicly-held gaming and hospitality firm. Additionally, he spent 16 years with Ramada Inc., where he held a number of positions including President of the chain's restaurant division, and Chief Financial Officer. He has also served on the Board of Trump Castle Associates.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Martin was Chairman and CEO of Gas Dynamics, Inc. of Phoenix, AZ; and held various positions with Consumers Power Company of Jackson, MI; and Ernst and Ernst CPAs. Martin holds a B.A. from Michigan State University and an MBA from Western Michigan University Graduate School of Business. |

Dennis Dolan
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dennis Dolan brought more than twenty years of financial and strategic
management experience to Best Friends Pet Care when he joined its Board of Directors in June, 2001. Dennis was named Company President in October of 2001 and, in 2002, succeeded Tom Martin as CEO.
Dolan's extensive resume of financial management, including a strong track
record of shareholder value improvement, investor relations management,
merger and acquisition planning and execution, banking relations, property
lease administration and financial systems development perfectly suits the
Company as it prepares for its next stage of growth and industry
consolidation.
Prior business experience includes 15 years service with Air Express
International, Darien, CT, a $1.5B international freight forwarding and
logistics company, ending as the company's Executive Vice President & CFO. Additionally, he served e-Media, Inc., Stamford, CT, a digital media services company, as Senior Vice President and CFO. Prior posts include financial management roles with Transervice Lease Corporation, Lake Success, NY and Brink's Incorporated, Darien, CT. Mr. Dolan received his BS in Accounting from the University of Scranton and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. |

John Heyder
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
John Heyder leads the finance and accounting functions for Best Friends, including Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Banking Relations, Budgets & Forecasts, Payroll, Cash Management, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets.
Heyder, who has more than 15 years experience in accounting and financial management, joined Best Friends in 1996 as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. He joined the executive management group in 1997 and was named to his current position in August, 2000 .
Prior to joining Best Friends, Heyder was Controller for King Casey, Inc., marketing consulting and design services firm, which is best known for its work with the U.S. Post Office and Merrill Lynch and Denny's. Earlier in his career he worked for the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand and for Citicorp, Inc. Heyder earned his BBA in Accounting from Pace University and his MBA from Sacred Heart University. |
